Orientations for well resolved sources

At the other extreme, we can assume that the RM screen is resolved. This is incorrect for some sources, as the polarization can fall no faster than 1/lambda^2 giving DP>0.09 whereas several sources in the GCL sample are more depolarized than this. The dispersion ratio is

D = sqrt[((1-DP_+^2)/(1-DP_-^2)][[DP_-^2-(lambda_1/lambda_2)^4]) / ([DP_+^2-(lambda_1/lambda_2)^4])]. (17)
